Zoltán Kovács (1991, Kisvárda) is an artist living and working in Budapest, whose sculptures can be classified as geometric abstract. He graduated from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in 2018 as a sculptor, since then he has participated in several group exhibitions and has had solo exhibitions at Kahan Art Space and Hybrid Art Space. He makes both small sculptures and larger scale works, his use of materials is mainly driven by the aesthetics of woods of different colours and veining. His series are linked by a fascination with the transcendent, and despite their constructivist approach, his sculptures have a sacred overtone: they can be interpreted as a search for deeper, invisible meanings.
