Erika Fábián graduated as a graphic artist from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in 2014. Her art is based on a coherent, conceptual and intentionally slow creative process. Her abstract works are characterized by all-over compositions composed of thousands of tiny (colour) dots, which in most cases are based on emotional-sensual processes. These self-interpretative, mental processes manifest themselves in minimal gestures and raise the ambiguity and interpretative problems of abstract art. In 2011 she won the Jenő Barcsay Study Award, and in 2013 the Hungarian Graphic Artists Association Scholarship. In 2018 she was invited to the Lille Art Fair with an independent art project. As of 2021, she will be featured on the Secondary Archive online platform for women artists from the CEE region. Since 2019, she has been a lecturer at the Institute of Fine Art and Art Theory at Eszterházy Károly Catholic University.
